In order to improve the maintenance services of the campus buildings, Physical Facilities has divided the UCSB campus
into four zones (see Zone Map),
and campus-wide teams.
Each zone (Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 3, Zone 4, and Campus-wide) consists of leads, building trades workers, custodians, and groundskeepers to provide expert general building maintenance and great service.
The Preventive Maintenance (PM) program provides scheduled maintenance for heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, as well as maintaining emergency generators, pumps, air compressors, vacuum pumps, and monitoring campus utility usage.
